Now hiring a Digital Community Manager
Blockchain for Climate Foundation and Ecotrust Canada have partnered to develop a blockchain platform to enable the issuance and exchange of Paris Agreement – compliant carbon credits. The work aims to connect the national carbon accounts of the world to enable cross border collaboration on emissions reductions. We are looking for a qualified Digital Community Manager to join our team! If you are a self-driven and ambitious tech-savvy professional, we would love to meet you! We are seeking a candidate experienced in social media, PR, internal and external communications.
Community Manager duties and responsibilities
Set, plan and implement social media and communication campaigns and strategies
Produce engaging text, image and video content for social media and professional accounts
Monitor, track and report on feedback and community sentiment
Participate in Blockchain for Climate Foundation website refresh and content development
Coordinate meetings and team engagement with Blockchain for Climate team
Build relationships with customers, industry professionals and journalists
Stay up-to-date with “blockchain for impact” sector trends
Community Manager requirements
Due to funding requirements, must be a Canadian citizen, permanent residents or persons who have been granted refugee status in Canada. They must be unemployed, underemployed or hold part-time employment. Candidate must be between 15 and 30 years old.
Experience planning and leading digital community initiatives
Proven work experience as a community manager or similar role
Knowledge of, and engagement in the blockchain community a plus
Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent writing skills
Excellent interpersonal and presentations skills
Motivated, self-starter
Hands on experience with social media management
Knowledge of online marketing
Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver
Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications or other relevant field
