We’re hiring a Program Manager - Blockchain for Climate

Blockchain for Climate Foundation and Ecotrust Canada are thrilled to be hiring a Program Manager - Blockchain for Climate.

Ecotrust Canada and Blockchain for Climate Foundation have partnered to put the Paris Agreement on the Blockchain. Come join our work to connect the national carbon accounts of the world to enable cross border collaboration on emissions reductions. Our team is growing and we seek a Program Manager to drive program success, and adoption of the BITMO Platform by national party signatories to the Paris Agreement, successfully operationalizing Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

The role will be responsible for a range of program management, community engagement and policy development activities - supporting organizational success and building a National Party Working Group to engage policy-makers in Canada and around the world in using our blockchain based platform to issue and exchange Paris Agreement carbon credits.

The successful candidate will get to work with a diverse and accomplished set of colleagues, and work on the cutting edge at the intersection of climate action, carbon markets and blockchain technology. Our work to deploy the BITMO Platform on Ethereum, leveraging NFTs to enable operationalization of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement will help solve critical issues and pave the way for vastly better connectivity between supply of emissions reductions opportunities, and the capital + demand necessary to make them happen. Knowledge of climate finance, blockchain technology or both is an asset, but not a requirement. Rather, strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and passion for learning about blockchain and climate are the requisite characteristics for a successful candidate.

The job posting closes October 11, 2021, but earlier submissions will be reviewed as they are received. Learn more about our work at www.blockchainforclimate.org and www.ecotrust.ca.
