Kam Phung

 

Kam (he/him) is an award-winning social scientist, experienced entrepreneur, and in-demand consultant specializing in technology, innovation, and change in the face of grand societal challenges.

With over a decade of experience in the environmental technology space, Kam has contributed to building an array of organizations, including a UNFCCC/CDM carbon credit development company (Habitat Enterprises) and the world’s first “roof auction” for solar (Gridbid). He has also worked in the field office of a socio-economic NGO in Botswana, developed social impact programs at an energy transition consulting firm in France, assisted with the showcasing of access to energy technologies in rural Bangladesh, consulted large multinationals, governmental entities, not-profits, and startups, and contributed to early stage blockchain and crypto ventures.

Kam holds a PhD in Organization Studies (York University) and completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (University of Cambridge) funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. He also holds a MSc in Sustainable Development (HEC Paris), MSc in Economics and Business Administration (Norwegian School of Economics), and BCom in International Business (University of Victoria).
